***WE WILL BE CLOSED FROM 20TH DECEMBER 2021 TO 2ND JANUARY 2022 DUE TO THE CHRISTMAS SEASON – WE WILL OPEN AGAIN ON 3RD JANUARY 2022***
- The best way to reach Hillside Studios from the M5 motorway is to take the Cribbs Causeway exit J17 and head north at the roundabout on B4055 Blackhorse Hill. (“North” is in the opposite direction from the shopping mall. From the south / Avonmouth, it’s the first exit. From the north / Almondsbury, it’s the fourth exit.)
- After exiting the Cribbs Causeway roundabout onto Blackhorse Hill, you’ll drive about 0.6 miles, passing The WildPlace Project on your left.
The next left is Bow Street Lane; Turn left onto Bow Street Lane.
- You’ll drive another half mile approximately, down Bow Street Lane.
Turn right onto Berwick Lane (at a sort of T-junction where Hollywood Lane is to the left and Berwick Lane on the right).
- Turn right into a little un-named lane that has only two entrances: The first entrance is to Hillside House (a large stone house with wooden gate) on the left; The second entrance – also on the left – is to Hillside Studios. Turn into that entrance and park in the car park.
The Elm Hut is at the far end opposite the car park. If it’s raining, or if someone at the appointment has mobility issues, please drive all the way to the Elm Hut and park just in front. (Please be careful not to block the path, as there’s a stone carver’s hut just further ahead. She needs access with her large van most days.)
