Company Updates: New Name, New Clinical Trials, New Staff & New Location

Many changes have been brewing, and we are excited to announce that quite a few of them are already underway in the pipeline.

Whilst many of you may know us from our previous company name, Biofeedback Centre Bristol, we are now operating under the new name of The National Centre for Electromagnetic Therapies CIC. We have done this for a few reasons:

  • NCET reflects the widening of scope for our company. We aim to treat patients from all over the U.K., and have begun operating within Bournemouth and London thanks to dedicated independant practitioners in those locations.
  • We are a not-for-profit company, meaning we place our commitment to the community in providing accessible therapy for all. “CIC” stands for Community Interest Company, which accurately describes our purpose, our mission, and how we handle our finances.
  • NCET will begin undertaking clinical trials to better understand the benefits of PEMF (Pulsed ElectroMagnetic Field) therapy and other electromagnetic treatments rather than focusing primarily on Biofeedback.

Clinical Trial Results

NCET are beginning our first clinical trial. This trial seeks to investigate the treatment of PTSD & Trauma and how Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy can help. Look out on our ‘Research & Articlespage to keep up to date on the results from this trial!

New Staff

We have welcomed new members into the NCET family!

Aled

Aled Slade is our Research Assistant. He is the individual behind all of our research articles and blog posts. He is also leading the upcoming clinical trials and will be disseminating the findings once completed. He works closely alongside our Director, Kasey, to ensure administrative, social, and customer needs are met. He is with us through the UK Kickstarter Scheme on a part-time basis, and based in Bournemouth.

Mobile Therapists

Becky & Donna are two new individuals who are training under Kasey to become Practitioners. The goal is to have them working independantly as self-employed or volunteers, and perform more home visits to meet the needs of our under-served population in low-income areas of the Bristol area, where public transportation is unfortunately scarce, expensive and unreliable.

They currently volunteer at our different clinics to better understand the different types of therapy we offer and the patients we care for. Once fully trained, they will be able to operate within NCET and increase our availability to the public.

Straightening Out the Books

We have recently hired an accountant to keep watch over of our company books and ensure everything is in order to keep our clinic running in preparation for applying for grant funding in future.

We hope you can meet these new additional staff whenever you visit us, as they share in our passion and determination for helping others.

New Clinic Location

We have a new clinic location! You can find Kasey at her new location at:

The Elm Hut in Hillside Studios
Berwick Lane
Easter Compton, Bristol

We are NOT taking ‘drop-in’ sessions currently, so you will need to book your session in advance. However, we can offer a free tea/coffee and a half-hour freebie treatment with one of our practitioners in training. If you wish to try out our therapies, please get in touch with us at admin@ncet.co.uk or call us on 03301 3301 83 to arrange a short visit. These free sessions will most likely begin in October or November 2021, and we will keep you updated through our newsletter and other social medias.
